STRAWBERRY SUGAR

A pinch of strawberry sugar adds a lovely flavour to your cookie decorations, rimming cocktail glasses or sprinkling onto cooked oatmeal, yoghurt or baked goods.

Ingredients for  STRAWBERRY SUGAR

YIELD: 2/3 CUP

Dehydrated or Freeze-Dried Strawberries

1/2 cup

Castor Sugar

1/4 cup

METHOD:

1.  Blend dehydrated (or freeze-dried) strawberries with a food processor or coffee/spice grinder to a fine, powdered consistency.                               

2.  Strain to remove strawberry seeds, if desired.

3.  Add sugar and mix well.

4.  Store in an airtight container.
