Canning Inspiration: Spanish

I've brainstormed today and put this list together of canning (preserving) recipe ideas for Spanish-themed dishes, to inspire your next canning creation! Check out the main recipe page HERE), and I have included ideas for future canning projects below :) 
              

  • Flavours: garlic, onion, oregano, thyme and rosemary
   
  • Spanish Tomato Jam - sweet or add spices
  • Quince Paste - normal, w. honey, w. orange or w. lemon
  • Spanish Marmalade - oranges, cinnamon, limes and mint
  • Fig Jam with Licor 43 - Licor 43 is a Spanish liqueur
  • Orange Marmalade with Chocolate (cocoa)
    
  • Red Wine Jelly - using a Spanish wine
  • Clara Jelly - a sweet jelly made from beer and lemonade
  • Sangria Jelly
  • Queimada Jelly - similar to sangria
  • Spanish Cocktails turned into jellies
    
  • Sherry Raisin Sauce - serve with pork chops
  • Chocolate Sauce/Hot Fudge Sauce - serve with some homemade churros
          

  • Marinated Salad using marinated eggplant strips and marinated pepper strips
    • Marinated Peppers - mixture of red, green and yellow sweet pepper strips
    • Marinated Eggplant
    • Pickled Red Cabbage with Apple and Onion - just add fried bacon and potatoes to serve with a roast
    • Pickled Red Cabbage Slaw
    • Sweet and Sour Pickled Red Cabbage
    • Pickled Artichoke Hearts
              
    • Empanada filling - pressure canned ground beef with spices, ready to add into empanada pastry
    • Pressure canned stew using beef, chicken, pork and chickpeas (garbanzo beans), carrot, onion and cabbage
    • Pressure canned Gazpacho - cold tomato soup
    • Pressure Canned Chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
    • Pressure Canned Butter Beans
    • Bean Stew
    • Pressure Canned Pisto - filling for empanadas w. tomatoes, eggplant, onion, zucchini, sweet peppers (red and green). similar to ratatouille
    • Albondigas - veal and pork meatballs in Spanish tomato sauce
